I was born in a small town in Ohio and moved to southern California upon graduating high school. A couple of years later I moved to Georgia to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to pursue a B.F.A. in Jewelry, and the tiny little state of Delaware followed soon after. My time living in various parts of the country has exposed me to many beautiful landscapes that have continuously influenced my work.
I am fascinated by the natural world around us. It’s the world where nature runs its course and time overpowers all things. There is something so pure about the way things grow and how over time, it decays.
No human can truly capture the magnificence of the things in which we can’t control. It’s an abstract idea that challenges me and stretches every boundary of my imagination. The entity of each design is so effortlessly free which entices me to capture the raw complexity in a way that becomes one with the human form. The natural world is a beautiful but equally ominous phenomenon that I simply have to let it be.
